Installation
Optimization Protocol is a desktop application for Windows and Linux.
- Download the latest release from the Releases page or your distribution channel.
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Launch Optimization Protocol from your applications menu or desktop shortcut.
First Use
On first launch, Optimization Protocol will:
- Perform an initial system scan to establish a baseline.
- Display a summary of detected hardware and software configuration.
- Present an initial set of recommendations based on the baseline.
No internet connection is required for the initial scan or core features.
Running Your First Analysis
- From the main dashboard, click Run Analysis.
- Wait for the scan to complete (duration varies by system complexity).
- Review the recommendations list — items are ordered by expected impact.
- Apply recommendations individually or in groups using the checkboxes.
- Run a follow-up scan to measure improvements.
Profiles
Optimization Protocol supports saved profiles for different use cases (e.g., gaming, productivity, power saving).
- Create a new profile from the Profiles menu.
- Save your current configuration as a named profile.
- Switch between profiles as needed.
Tips
- Review recommendations before applying them. Each recommendation includes a description of what it changes and why.
- Use the Before/After report to verify that applied changes had the expected effect.
- Schedule regular scans from Settings → Scheduled Scans to catch performance regressions early.
